  • Meghann D. Ellis, LICSW EMDR Certified Therapist & EMDR Consultant

Meghann Ellis is a mental health professional with 18 years of experience. She’s run her own thriving private practice for eight years. Her passion has always been helping women destigmatize their thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. As a trauma specialist, Meghann understands the complexities of adapting to overwhelming life circumstances, and has created life long healing strategies to help her clients find peace in healing and grieving.

She is an EMDRIA-approved therapist and consultant, helping others through the effective therapies of EMDR as well as teaching other therapists how to develop their own EMDR skills.

Aside from work, Meghann lives an active life with her husband and child in Boston. She has a love for all things weightlifting and gymnastics. She spends lots of time at her local crossfit gym with family and friends.

During her pregnancy and postpartum experience, Meghann found much support through athletic planning and adaptations, but still felt an overwhelming loss of self and frustration about finding her own goals and identity during this transitional time in her life.

She’s passionate about Twin Root Wellness’s mission to meld the physical needs of the athlete along with identity formation needed to create a road toward active motherhood!

  • Kaitlyn D Ellis OTR/L

Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist CrossFit L1 Trainer Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach POP Up Pro Pelvic Health Sexuality Counseling Cert Reiki II

Kaitlyn is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience. While most of her career was focused on neurological rehabilitation, she shifted her specialty to the pelvic floor after the profound effect the birth of her son had on her.

Kaitlyn loves empowering her postpartum clients to return to sport with confidence. She does not take any movement off the table, but instead works with her clients to safely achieve their goals.

“I received minimal guidance on how to return to working out after I had my son,” she says. “Because of that, I went too hard too soon which likely contributed to my pelvic organ prolapse. I didn’t understand what was going on with my body and why I couldn’t move the way I used to. This only exacerbated my already present postpartum depression.”

Because of her experience, Kaitlyn obtained extensive training as a POP Up Pro and Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach to help women with any pelvic floor diagnosis return to sport. She also has additional certifications in Pelvic Floor Sexuality Counseling and Reiki because she recognizes the multifaceted needs of pregnant and postpartum clients.
